Life Coaching

The Process

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It’s helping them to learn rather than teaching them. Timothy Gallwey

The main purpose of the Life Coaching model is to assist you, the client to; solve problems, achieve dreams, find purpose in life, become unstuck from a place/situation you no longer wish to be in. These problems may arise in many different areas of life; business, relationships, personal, spiritual, financial or future direction/career, to name but a few

Life Coaching is a system of sharing and developing various solutions and approaches to solve identified problems and achieve specified dreams for you. During this process, the Life Coach will assist you to discover the skills required to move forward, and design strategies to help deal with your own unique set of issues and needs.
The basic premise of this type of coaching is to guide you towards coming up with your own answers, options and action plans.
A trusting relationship, between a professional, impartial guide (the coach) and you (the client) is essential for the process to function well. This relationship will serve as the foundation upon which all further personal growth by you will take place. The quality of the relationship is largely determined by the encouraging, nurturing attitude displayed by an enthusiastic, well informed Life Coach.

Life coaching is a process which should;

  1. Establish what your aspirations and dreams are, these may be either previously existing, or yet to be created, in which case life coaching will gently guide you to create a vision for yourself.
  2. Assist you to reach a fair assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
  3. Allow you to create a plan/timeline of realistic and achievable goals for attaining the vision based on; either developing those strengths, or overcoming weaknesses, or a bit of both.
  4. Expose you to a variety of established practices, models, reading, and exercises as possible directional examples and creative inspiration.
  5. Slowly build your self-confidence and encourage self-belief.
  6. Allow you to explore new, unfamiliar ideas and experiences, and to take considered risks with the least amount of stress.
  7. Monitor the systematic roll out of agreed and pre-established goals.
  8. Allow you to enjoy success in attaining these goals.
  9. Celebrate you and your achievements Brave Heart.

If this process is worked well, it is a fulfilling and bonding experience for both you and the coach.
Both will enjoy not only the end results, but also the process of achieving it.
